Brief
History of Organization |

|
The Palestinian Center for Peace and Democracy (PCPD) is a non-profit,
non-governmental Palestinian institution that aims to mobilize
support for a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the
Middle East, based on the implementation of UN resolutions 242
and 338 that recognize Palestinian people’s legitimate rights to
self determination and to establish their independent
Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and with 4
June 1967 boarders. As well as, the implementation of UN
Security Council’s resolution 194 concerning the Palestinian
refugees’ right to return. |

The Center is dedicated to promoting concepts of democracy,
peace, human rights, social justice and civic education in the
Palestinian society. |

Objectives |

The PCPD implements its goals through a series of
forums, seminars, conferences, training courses, workshops,
and newsletter publications.

Mobilizes the Palestinian people in a full spectrum
of locations including towns, villages and refugee camps to
support the peace process, democracy and human rights issues,
regardless of their political affiliations, or their social or
religious backgrounds.
